Shehbaz Mobilizes Massive Local Leadership Volunteer Force Against Coronavirus

PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has directed all Mayors and District Chairmen to buckle up to protect the lives of their fellow Pakistanis and to start serving the nation will utmost devotion, dedication and honesty.

Addressing the meeting through video link, Shehbaz said his extensive experience in serving the people tells him that this fight against the new coronavirus cannot be won without the contribution of local leadership.

He said doctors, nurses and paramedics are the front line soldier in this war and the local body leadership is a proud platoon of this force against the pandemic. He said PMLN has also devised a strategy to help the people directly as well.

Shehbaz said this meeting is being held at a time when the nation is faced with its greatest healthcare challenge ever and the country is at a crucial juncture. He said it is a matter of the survival of the entire species for which the entire humanity needs to fight collectively. He said victory in this war can only come through the principles of unity, caution, and service. He said PMLN started its campaign and measures to fight the pandemic considering it a national, democratic and constitutional responsibility.

The National Assembly Opposition Leader said the greater purpose faced right now is of National sanctity and security and PMLN does not want that the nation should suffer because of the blunders, incompetence, and cluelessness of the PTI government. He said the party formulized a national strategy in line with the principles of Jinnah’s life which was approved by the entire opposition.

He told the meeting that while explaining the criticality of a lockdown under the current circumstances, he also gave a comprehensive mechanism for the provision of food and essential items. He said that the local leaders need to apprise the people around them regarding preventive measures against the covid19. These local volunteer leaders must also assist the provision of food, medicine and essential items to the people.
