PMLN Slams PTI Govt Backed FIR Alleging Mutiny
PMLN has challenged PTI to stop hiding behind anonymous and frivolous FIRs alleging mutiny and muster up the guts to file prejudicial cases of treason on Opposition with their own name.
At a press conference in Islamabad flanked by Ahsan Iqbal and Marriyum Aurangzeb, PMLN Leader and Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that an FIR was registered in Shahdara police by a man named Badar Rasheed, who has no occupation. This FIR registered at 2:25 am he said, alleged that 2 former Prime Ministers of Pakistan, National Assembly Opposition Leader, Former Speaker National Assembly, former Deputy Speaker National Assembly, 2 former Defence Ministers, former foreign minister, 16 members of former cabinet and 3 retired lieutenant General have been plotting mutiny against the country.
He said according to the FIR this act of mutiny was even bigger than Pindi Conspiracy, Agartala Conspiracy and all preceding acts of mutiny.
Abbasi said, “If talking about the supremacy of the constitution is mutiny, it will happen every day. If speaking up against election rigging is mutiny, such mutiny will surface every day. If pointing out unbearable inflation in the country is mutiny, it will be highlighted every day. If talking about the destruction of economy my government is mutiny, it will go on. If protesting against unprecedented unemployment is mutiny, it will not end any day. If selling off occupied Kashmir and Kashmiris is mutiny, it will be brought up every single day. If speaking against polarisation of the nation is mutiny, it will be committed every day. If objecting to stalling of CPEC is mutiny, it will be done every day. If alarming the nation about conspiracy against the country is mutiny, it will done daily as a duty.”
The former Prime Minister said the opposition hasn’t even started its campaign against the destruction disaster of a government PTI is, and it has already resorted to such lowly tactics. He challenged the PTI ministers to come forward and mention their name in the FIR instead of hiding behind frivolous characters. He advised CM Punjab Usman Buzdar to stay out of this dirty game.
Those who destroy a growing economy are guilty of mutiny, those who crossbred people under inflation, those who unsettled Pakistan’s long standing friends in international community, those who jeopardised CPEC and are responsible for the fall of Kashmir are guilty of mutiny to the country and its interests he said.
PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said the results of this dangerous game of labeling people as traitors had already been witnessed in East Pakistan, KPK, and Sindh. He said this new tactic by the government is to distract from the fact that there is another electricity and gas bomb waiting to be blasted on the people.
He said this government has failed at everything and every sector of internal and international affairs of the country. The former interior minister said the nation wants to know what emboldened India so much that it annexed Kashmir without any hesitation. Was it that this government had weakened Pakistan’s defence to that extent or was it that it traded off Kashmir. And once that happened, this government has been extremely passive over the past entire year and hasn’t been able to even summon an OIC Summit over this grave issue. This is the act which amounts to actual mutiny he said.
