PMLN To Emerge As Major Force In PDM Movement For Democratic Revival – PMLN CEC
PMLN Central Leader and Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says PMLN will emerge as a major force in implementing the agenda and line of action decided in the APC by the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
Talking to media outside the PMLN Secretariat in Lahore after a meeting of the party’s Chief Executive Committee, Abbasi said the meeting endorsed the views of PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif and agenda of the APC and PDM. The meeting slammed the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif. The meeting also strongly proposed to Nawaz Sharif that he should complete his treatment and should return after his doctors give him a green signal. The meeting said that Nawaz is a national asset and he should not jeopardise his life at any cost under any political or otherwise pressure.
Abbasi said the PMLN Quaid asked for recommendations regarding strategy to achieve the goals and said that PMLN is on a righteous path which is why it has no fear and will do all it takes to rid the country from this illegal, undemocratic and incompetent government. Abbasi said Nawaz has blown the lid off PTI sit in by revealing the truth about what General Zaheerul Islam did. He renewed his demand of a truth commission and said the people of Pakistan deserve to know the truth about what happened in the country since 1947.
Abbasi said the CEC meeting discussed the agenda of the APC in detail and other matters of national and party importance. He said the first public meeting will be held in Quetta along with the protests and demonstrations that will follow according to the decisions of the PDM. He said the struggle to reclaim Pakistan and its parliament will continue and the wrongdoings of 7 decades cannot be corrected in a day or a week. He pointed out that not a single bill concerning public plight has been tabled in the parliament by the government so far.
Abbasi slammed the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif and said said it exposed the cowardice, insecurity and shameless cheap tactics of the PTI government.
