Shehbaz’s Statement Being Misconstrued, Quoted Out Of Context – Marriyum
PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that Shehbaz Sharif’s statement in the parliament regarding the motorway rape is being grossly misconstrued and quoted our of context.
In a statement Marriyum said, Shehbaz had only pointed out the absence of any system of public security on the said motorway.
Marriyum said Shehbaz meant that Nawaz built the entire motorway but the PTI government is so incompetent that it could not even put in place a public security apparatus for the motorway, which led to creation of circumstances which factored in to the heinous crime.
The former Information Minister said the PTI government is trying to divert attention away from the real issue and the calls for accountability of CCPO for his victim blaming.
She said the entire nation is unified in its demand for the most strict punishment for the culprits of this horrible incident.
