Imran Govt’s Mishandling Of Motorway Brought Shame To Pakistan, Pain To Victims – PMLN
PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal says Imran Ahmed Niazi’s vengeance, arrogance and incompetence has brought shame to Pakistan in the way his government handled the barbaric motorway incident.
At a press conference in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal said crimes are committed in ever country but never are the victims made a mockery of the way this government. This attitude, he said, is not an isolated instance. He said PMLN had been warning for the past 2 years that incompetent rulers are dragging Pakistan to total destruction.
Ahsan said, “Imran Khan hasn’t even bothered to condemn this incident let alone condemn the victim blaming by CCPO Omar Sheikh who rubbed salt into the wounds of the traumatised woman. Imran tweets about every petty thing all the time but he did not a have 2 words of outrage, empathy or solidarity for the victim. This is an apathetic, indifferent, incompetent government incapable of protecting people’s lives and dignity”.
Ahsan said the entire world is testifying to the failure of Pakistan’s most populous Province where Imran has imposed an inexperienced, incompetent and immature ruler in the form of Usman Buzdar. He said even schools don’t change their PT teachers the way PTI changes top officers of the most populous province overnight. He said over the past 2 years, 5 IGs, 4 Chief Secretaries, 6 commissioners, 11 provincial secretaries would be changed how can that province function.
He said PTI is taking revenge from Punjab for voting overwhelmingly for PTI in every election. And even worst still, PTI continues to even politicise this issue by trying to belittle the state-of-the-art forensic laboratory built by Shehbaz Sharif by saying the opposition will boast about it helping identifying the culprits. It is the truth, Ahsan said, had Shehbaz Sharif not built the lab in record time, this would never had been possible. This lab is a gift not just for Punjab but Pakistan.
“Shehbaz’s lab did its job, but the PTI couldn’t even do the simple task of keeping that information secret and catching the culprits. They leaked it to media and the culprit escaped. There are no limits to how irresponsible, incompetent and unqualified can this administration be”, he said.
He said Imran only chairs one meeting without exception, that is the meeting in which he takes stock of the Political victimisation activities against the opposition especially PMLN. The last meeting of the day is about the same, he added. The second priority of Imran Niazi is his image on social media. How can a Prime Minister deliver on real problems and issued if he is so obsessed and consumed with victimisation of opposition and his virtual image only.
The former Minister Interior said this victimisation after bringing Nawaz Sharif close to death, jeopardizing Shehbaz’s health in Coronavirus, is now doing the same to Opposition Leader Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz. He told that Hamza has extremely high fever for the past 3 days after testing positive for covid-19 but the government isn’t giving him the due medical attention. Ahsan said PMLN strongly condemns this injustice and demands that Hamza be given the best medical treatment as soon as possible.
The PMLN Secretary General said this government knows nothing but to persecute opposition and victimise. He said all those responsible in any way in imposing Imran Niazi on Pakistan, are guilty of Pakistan’s destruction.
