PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has expressed great grief over the death of Sikh pilgrims in the accident near Sheikhupura.
In a statement, Shehbaz said he was deeply saddened by the reports of at least 15 Sikh pilgrims losing their lives after their passenger wagon was run over by the Shah Hussain Express traveling from Karachi to Lahore.
He extended his condolence to the families of the victims and urged the government to ensure best possible medical facilities for those injured in the accident. He also called for arranging the most convenient way to transport the dead bodies of the pilgrims to their hometowns.
