Marriyum Rejects South Punjab Secretariat Instead or Separate Province
PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb has rejected the establishment of South Punjab Secretariat instead of the creation of a separate South Punjab Province.
In a statement, Marriyum questioned why the Federal Government isn’t legislating on the South Punjab Province bill already presented by the PMLN in the parliament. She reminded that PMLN had already gotten unanimous approval from the parliament for the creation of Bahawalpur Province and South Punjab Province.
The former Information Minister said had the government been serious regarding South Punjab Province, it would have started the constitutional process in this regard instead of creating a Secretariat, which she said, can never be a replacement of a separate Province.
Marriyum slammed the PTI government for trying to deceive the nation with such eyewash measures and said the people of Pakistan and that of South Punjab particularly won’t be fooled by such tricks.
She pointed out that PTI deceived the people of south Punjab and lied to them incessantly just get their votes and once they got into power, they forgot everything about it. But the people of South Punjab won’t forget the faces of these fraudsters, she said.
Like every single one of its campaign promises, the promise of South Punjab Province by PTI was also a big fat lie.
PMLN is the only political party to have ever taken practical constitutional steps for the creation of the South Punjab Province, she said.
