Shehbaz Declares Petrol Price Hike Sugar Scandal Part 2, Demands Immediate Reversal
LAHORE: PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz while slamming and rejected the unprecedented 33 percent increase in patrol prices as tyrannical and unacceptable has said that this spike in patrol prices is sugar scandal part 2. The government has imposed a mini-budget on the people, even before the budget.
In a statement, Shehbaz said PMLN will protest against this injustice at every forum from the parliament to every official and in official forum. This, he said, proves it is a govt of incompetent, insensitive, brutal and cruel individuals which cannot be allowed to crush Pakistanis anymore. He demanded that the government must reverse this increase in the petrol prices.
In his strong reaction to the Rs 25 per litre increase in patrol prices, he said this hike in process comes at a time when there is already a shortage of Petroleum products in the country.
Shehbaz said this government after enabling the sugar mafia to rob Pakistanis, has given a licence to petrol mafia to loot the people of this country. He did it is a shame and a severe disappointment that the mafias are winning and the people of Pakistan are losing.
The past two years have proven that this government is the biggest ally of mafias. He pointed out how an intentional shortage of sugar was created, sugar was hoarded and later sold at insane prices. In the exact same manner, this entire patrol hiest has been carried out, he said.
The National Assembly Opposition Leader said the PTI has played the most vicious and brutal game with the nation. Patrol disappeared from the country street the price of Rs 75 per litre was set by the government, he reminded.
“This has blown the lid off Imran Niazi’s hollow promises and lipservice of being sympathetic to the problems of the people of this great nation. This government failed to capitalise on the historic drop in oil prices in the Global market, provided peanuts worth of relief of such massive global cut and has now retracted that relief along with massive interest. Historic failure in tax revenue collection, historic high loans, destroyed economy, zero growth, unemployment and disease, is this the Naya Pakistan”, Shehbaz questioned.
The PMLN President said this government has dropped a patrol bomb on a national already buried in the coronavirus crisis. This is a proof that the government doesnt even want the nation economy to run and is rooting for the people to die off starvation, he said. This is not the time to rob the people’s pockets clean, but to fill them in the time of distress.
He said the people of Pakistan must not be punished for the failure of this government’s abismal performance.
