Marriyum Demands Making Face-masks Compulsory, Addressing Growing Shortage of Covid-19 Medicines
PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb has demanded that the government must make the use of face-masks compulsory and must ensure the provision of all medicines required to help coronavirus patients recover.
In a statement Marriyum said the number of surging covid-19 patients in the country is touching an extremely dangerous level. Meanwhile, the medicines to treat the virus are fast disappearing from the market, she said.
She called on the Federal Health Minister Imran Khan to set up a special desk or counter to ensure the provision of coronavirus medicines. She pointed out that even oxymeters have been swept from the markets. The country is already suffering from a critical shortage of ventilators and protective gear PPE.
The hospitals have been overwhelmed and maxed out by coronavirus patients while the number of new patients continues to rise exponentially, she said.
