Sugar Inquiry Report Incomplete Without Summoning, Repremanding Cheif Criminal Imran – Marriyum
PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb while calling Imran Khan the true criminal of sugar corruption scandal, has demanded that he be summoned by the sugar inquiry commission and reprimanded for allowing export of sugar amidst a domestic shortage.
Addressing a press conference, Marriyum said the real issue at hand is not the subsidy. The real issue is robbing Rs 507 billion from the nation by selling expensive sugar, hoarding of sugar under the garb of export to Afghanistan by Khusro Bakhtiyaar and others, conflict of interest, parity between Rupee and Dollar and Prime Minister’s decision to export sugar against the advice of the advisory board.
Shehzad Akbar must tell the nation about the findings of the report on Page number 69 through 74. He must tell the nation about Asad Umars Q&A. When Asad was asked why was sugar exported he said the decision was made without verifying the date sent by the provinces. On page 71 clearly says that despite pressure by provinces and repeated warnings by SUGAR advisory board, Asad went ahead withoit giving satisfactory answers. Abdurrazaq Daud said he did not deem it necessary to meet and consult sugar advisory board because Imran had already given his orders. Page 72 mentions how people were robbed twice and how Rs 507 were robbed from the people. Page 74 mentions that Usman Buzdar said the permission for export and subsidy was given on 6 December but he cannot recall why he sanctioned the subsidy. He said the sugar was exported despite shortage on verbal orders by Imran Khan”, she lambasted. Shehzad Akbar must announce the resignation and arrest of Imran and Buzdar in his next press conference, she said.

Marriyum said this government is very tactfully fooling the nation to save Imran Khan who is the chief culprit. Asad Umar, Jahangir Tareen, Khusro Bakhtiyaar and others were just following orders given by Imran Khan, she said. She stressed that the report is incomplete Without summoning and questioning Imran Khan.
Marriyum questioned why Khusro Bakhtiyaar and his brother were not summonwd by the Commission. Shehbaz Sharif and Salman Shehbaz did not export a penny worth of sugar and yet the rented government Spokesperson’s stage a new circus everyday over it. She said Shehbaz Sharif’s businesses have nothing to do with this but these government mouthpieces are dragging Salman Shehbaz in to drag Shehbaz into this fake narrative, she said. The incompetent government is fighting with PMLN instead of focusing to fight coronavirus, economic strife and unemployment.
She said Imran has ran off to hide in Nathiagali while his rented Spokespersons are staging a distracting circus to save Imran’s skin. These fictitious press conferences can neither distract public attention nor can they save Imran, she said.
‘Imran is missing while Usman Buzdar has had a sudden attack of amnesia. And yet none of the two are being held accountable for their criminal corrupt actions. Salman Shehbaz’s sugar mill has been shut by FBR for the past two years, maybe this government knows tye magic of exporting sugar from a shut mill. These fake allegations of billions and trillions by fake Spokespersons fell one after the other like flies, from Ashiyaana, Saaf Paani, Ganda Naala, Multan Metro, DFID, and others. Shehzad Akbar and his ilk should take the evidence to court instead of waving it at press conference. But they won’t, because they’ve faced embarrassment at the courts because of their fake allegations and fictitious cases’ she said.
The PMLN Secretary lnformation said the briefcase wielding unknowns who became special advisors out of nowhere should be put on ECL. She requested all institutions to exhibit patriotism because they will elope back to their country once they have served foreign agenda and damaged Pakistan beyond repair.
She demanded that Imran’s interrogation by the Sugar Inquiry Commission must be broadcastwd live, just the way PMLN demanded to broadcast Shehbaz’s interrogation live. If Nawaz can appear for accountability as the Prime Minister, what makes Imran untouchable.
The former Information Minister said Imran must answer why were the people robbed with Rs 92 per kg sugar. He must answer how a person who pays 100,000 rupee tax manage to built a 100 million rupee house in Zaman Park Lahore. Where did this money come from.
These government’s Spokespersons ask everyone about there assets and means, why did they not question Imran. How was Bani Gala house was made. The car he drives and his lavish lifestyle is all beyond his known means, she said. Those hein have been doing business since 1940 are questioned instead.
Marriyum said when PMLN gave subsidy on sugar there was no shortage of sugar in the country. When PMLN government took over the price of sugar was Rs 54 per kg and when it left its was Rs 53, PMLN did not let sugar prices rise. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared before the Commission and explained how the subsidy given by PMLN government was to earn foreign exchange when there was no shortage of sugar in the country.
