PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif while expressing deep concern and alarm over the dangerously deteriorating economic condition of Pakistan has said that the country is being intentionally driven towards bankruptcy.
In a statement, Shehbaz said the economic turmoil is damaging the roots of the country consequently weakening Pakistan’s sovereignty at its very core. He said the corrupt PTI hoard has dismantled and destroyed a healthy and progressing national economy. This government had effectively carried out an economic massacre of the people of Pakistan, their livelihoods and businesses, with unreal increase in interest rates, electricity and gas tariffs, he said.
The PMLN President said burying the nation under Rs 11,000 billion turned out to be extremely counterproductive. He called on all traders, businessmen and politicians to unite and get ready to save the national economy from this rogue, incompetent and corrupt government.
Shehbaz said this economic murder of Pakistanis won’t be tolerated anymore. This government is driving the country into a wall like a blind driver in reverse gear. He said the Prime Minister House is a safe haven for corrupt looters, hoarders and illegal profiteers who turned the country into an altar for the nation.
The Prime Minister is patronising and protecting the wheat and sugar hoarders while locking up innocent traders as scapegoat, he said.
