No Dialogue On Reforms With Election Steeling, Media Gagging, Politically Victimizing Selected Govt – Marriyum

LAHORE: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb says those talking about Electoral, Parliamentary and Political reforms while keeping the PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition leader Nawaz Sharif, Parliamentary Leader Khawaja Asif and the media enchained, should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.

Talking to media outside NAB court Lahore, Marriyum said an unarmed woman had been summoned by NAB to harass her into silence. She said Marriyum Nawaz had already answered all questions by NAB whereas NAB itself did not have any answers to questions by Maryam Nawaz, which is why her bail was approved. She said when Maryam Nawaz exposes the theft and corruption of the selected hoard imposed on Pakistan, Imran Khan uses NAB as his instrument of political victimization to send her a call-up notice. She said this is in the same vein as Imran had illegally imprisoned Shehbaz because he is scared of him. Maryam has not been sent the NAB call-up notice, this actually is the Imran Call-up notice, she said.

Marriyum trashed the idea of a parliamentary committee on reforms with a selected mandate-robbing corrupt, incompetent and unrepresentative government imposed on the people of Pakistan through undemocratic means.

“No negotiations were possible with a person who imprisons political rivals with their daughters. The selected Prime Minister vomits lies, accusations and allegations every time he opens his mouth. He reeks of prejudice, envy and animosity. How can anyone negotiate electoral reforms with those who are a product of vote-theft and RTS rigging? Any dialogue with a selected Prime Minister who had given the people nothing but lies, misery, cussing and abuse, is impossible. Nobody can trust a selected Prime Minister who’s every step leads to the theft of public sugar, wheat, flour, electricity, gas, medicine and LNG”, she said.

The former Information Minister said proposal of electoral reforms coming from those who abducted electoral officials in Daska is laughable.

The people of Pakistan cannot forget that they used to suffer through 18 hours of electricity outage everyday in 2013 but in 2018 after fve years of PMLN rule, there was zero load-shedding of electricity. The national economy was growing at 5.8 with the inflation at 3 percent, whereas now the growth rate is negative 0.4 percent while the inflations I between 14 to 16 percent. The PMLN government eliminated terrorism from the country and created the most modern road communication network through motorways in the country, she added. But for all these achievements Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were rewarded with imprisonment in death-row cells and their daughters and daughters-in-law were jailed. They were rewarded with the most vicious political victimization.

Marriyum said, “the medicine given free to the people is now being sold at Rs 500; flour which was Rs 35 is now Rs 100 and sugar has jumped from Rs 52 to Rs 120. Electricity and gas tariffs have increased by more than 300percent. Instead of giving jobs this government took away 5 million jobs; took away people’s ability to pay their house rents instead of giving them 5 million houses. The tyrannical despot who gagged media and created the worst security and financial crisis in the media industry has the audacity to talk about media.

Marriyum said Imran’s commission agent and front man Shahzad Akbar who used to day dream about becoming a senator had been embarrassed into hibernation and so will all rented government mouthpieces. She questioned where were all those Saaf Pani, Multan Metro, Ashiyana, DFID, Ganda Naala cases that these mouthpieces so vehemently shouted about waving fake documents in public funded press conferences. They didn’t even care that fake cases about DFID and Multan metro would only embarrass Pakistan at the international stage, she lambasted.

Commenting on the recent incidents of violent attacks on politicians, she said this is the result of Imran Khan’s incendiary and inciting rhetoric that had sowed the seeds of anarchy in the country.
