In a joint statement they said political parties in the united opposition believe in the Islamic Federal Parliamentary Constitution of Pakistan. They said that March 23, 1940 is the day when the Muslims of South Asia dreamed of an independent state for themselves under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam.
They said first of all, all the administrative bodies of the state should be subject to an elected administration and Parliament which is the source of national policy making. The judiciary should be independent and able to make decisions without any pressure, the freedom of expression of the media should be protected, all elected bodies should be accountable to the people and the people should have the right to elect and exercise their right to vote, they opined.
They said people of Pakistan, especially the poor middle class and the youth, were suffering from the worst inflation, unemployment and social insecurity due to the failed policies and performance of the PTI government. The worst rigging in the 2018 elections stole the mandate from the people of Pakistan and imposed on them an artificial and incompetent leadership which halted and set in reverse Pakistan’s development journey – before the country and the people went bankrupt.
Therefore, they said, in order to save the country from the current crisis, it was necessary to immediately dismiss this failed, incompetent and incompetent government. And after the success of the no-confidence motion, a truly representative government should be established in the country through free, fair and transparent elections, which should implement immediate and far-reaching measures for economic reform and economic development based on social justice in the country. This was the only way to make the dream of an independent, sovereign and prosperous Pakistan come true, they proposed.
On the historic day of March 23rr, the Joint Opposition parties pledged to the people to provide them with a better quality of life, to free the country from the debt trap, rid it of poverty, inflation, unemployment, illiteracy and disease. They vowed that such a government would take urgent steps to eliminate economic inequality and bring the country’s economy in line with the requirements of the modern scientific, technological and informational industrial revolution.
The Joint Opposition was of the view that the strength and capability of any nation depends on its stable politics, strong economy, independent foreign policy and integrated defense structure. The idea of supremacy has not stabilized for 73 years and had weakened the cohesive power of national capacity. In this cyclical path, half of the country had been dismembered. They strongly opined that now was the time for all state stakeholders to accept the supremacy of the Constitution. All parties of joint opposition pledge Take steps to make Pakistan the dream of its founder Quaid-e-Azam together with harmony and mutual trust.
