PMLN To Kick Off Nationwide Anti-Inflation Street Protests On October 20TH From Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has announced a nationwide mass street protests against unbearable and unacceptable inflation by the PTI government, from October 20th.

Shehbaz made the announcement after chairing a meeting of the top leadership of the party including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Maryam Aurangzeb, presidents and general secretaries of the party’s four provincial, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan attended the meeting. The PMLN President decided to take decisive action to protect the rights of the people. It was also decided that the first mass protests would be held on October 20 in Rawalpindi.

The schedule and program of rallies, processions and demonstrations for nationwide protests was also finalized in the meeting. All party officials in provinces and districts have been given a call for nationwide protests starting October 20th. Various committees have also been formed for the coordination of central and provincial officials, in connection with the nationwide protests against inflation and destruction of economy by the Imran Khan government.
