ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has lashed out over sising dengue deaths due to PTI government’s incompetence and has called for emergency measures to save the people from dengue.
In a statement Marriyum said Imran Khan and Usman Buzdar were solely responsible for the unchecked rapid spread of dengue in the country. She said Shehbaz Sharif developed and documented a successful method to save the people from dengue, but Imran was so incompetent that he could not even implement it. Lives of people could have been saved had the prescribed procedure had been followed.
The former Information Minister demanded the reactivation of Shahbaz Sharif’s monitoring cells and the SOPs created by Shehbaz on urgent basis. People were losing their lives but the apathetic government had not even been able to timely spray most areas and take other effective measures, she added. She declared the PTI government’s incompetence and criminal negligence is the real cause of the rising dengue numbers across the country in minutes.
The government had not taken any measures to protect the people. The state of dengue patients in hospitals was deplorable. Imran Khan was responsible for the fact that there was no strategy, no monitoring, no preparation for the dengue season. After crushing the people with inflation and unemployment, the oppressive rulers were now taking their lives, she said. The criminal negligence by Imran and his corrupt and incompetent gang had left the people at the mercy of circumstances.
