Chairman NAB Returning Govt Favor With Application To Cancel Maryam Nawaz Bail – Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has lashed out against a petition filed by NAB in the High Court asking for cancellation of Maryam Nawaz’s bail.

In her statement, Marriyum said the bigoted and hypocritical double standards of the PTI government had been exposed by this action as they granted NRO in NAB Amendment Ordinance to those who robbed the nation, and then had the audacity of asking the court to annul Maryam’s bail. She said the extension given to NAB chairman’s was a reward for framing Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz and other PMLN leaders in these fake cases on the orders of Imran Khan. The NAB Chairman who holds an illegal position now should be ashamed of himself, he said. This request for the cancellation of Maryam Nawaz’s bail was NAB chairman’s return of favor for being the illegal extension he was gifted, she added.

The former Information Minister said this NAB’s request to cancel bail was a sign of how much it feared Maryam Nawaz. She said this government knew nothing other than slinging mud at political opponents but when they strike back by questioning these baseless allegations, their words were dubbed as hate speech. This administration defiles, defames and insults a three-time elected Prime Minister through coerced media trials with impunity but bans any criticism of NAB officials who had violated the constitution and law of the country and were visibly an instrument of political victimization.

Marriyum stressed that NAB must respond to the petition filed by Maryam Nawaz in Islamabad immediately. The Accountability bureau should apologize to the nation and be ashamed of making a false and baseless case. When the court grants bail on merit, declaring it a waiver is tantamount to contempt of court and denial of facts, she warned. She said it had been established beyond doubt now that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter were framed and unjustly sentenced.

The PMLN Secretary Information warned that any statement or action against the PMLN leadership would be paid back in the same coin. This circus of false cases, persecution and media trials must end, she said.
