ISLAMABAD: PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has said that the officials had been lying to the court as he was in no way linked to the Ramzan Sugar Mill.
Speaking in the court that extended his bail till October 9th, Shehbaz said he had never been a share holder or a director of the Ramzan Sugar Mill. He added that he had told all these details while he was investigated in jail as well that thus asset was made by his father which was Shehbaz later transfered to his children.
Shehbaz said that he had already submitted answers to a questionnaire given to him by FIA which was a virtual photocopy of NAB’s case.
The PML-N leader went on to say that when he was the chief minister of Punjab, he took steps that did not benefit sugar mills, and in doing so, caused financial losses to his family. He said he would soon release every detail of how his steps caused financial losses to his family rather than any benefit.
