PMLN Slams PTI Govt For False Cases Against Shehbaz To Distract Public Attention

PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal has lashed out at the bigotry of Chairman NAB for turning a blind eye to mega corruption scandals of Asim Bajwa and Minister IPC while continueing an unending political victimisation by the PTI government with one fictitious, baseless case after another to distract public attention away from their fresh disastrous blunder.

At a press conference in Islamabad, flanked by Marriyum Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarrar and Azma Bukhari, Ahsan said over tge past two months only the value of the rupee against the dollar had plummeted over 10 Rupees which was a heavy blow to the nation economy. He reminded how Imran Khan used to say that 1 rupee of devaluation adds Rs 90 billion is added to the debt burden of Pakistan and Pakistanis. But thanks to Imran’s addition to the debt it now adds Rs 117 billion which means that over the past two months, this government had added Rs 1.17 trillions to Pakistan’s debt.

He saie Panicking to keep this economic disaster away from public view Imran Khan has now opened a new false case against PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif, accusing him  of granting a contract to Ahsan Iqbal’s brother worth Rs 4.5 million. He said this was a continuation of the same pattern of political victimisation and politics of accusations by PTI to divert attention from its falls. He said, even then PTI needed to now seriously think about an alternative if their false allegations had now reduced from hundreds of billions earlier to Rs 4.5 million.

Ahsan challenged Imran Khan to involve any investigative agency he wishes from FIA to ISI TO MI, to prove Rs 3,200 billion spent on development projects under his watch and to find a penny of corruption for personal enrichment. He lambasted against Imran Khan’s asking him to share the report of the debt commission formed to investigate the Rs 70 billion corruption accusations in Multan-Sukkur motorway, against him 24 months ago. He said the standards of accountability must remain same of civilian, judges and generals. He dared Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal to probe Asim Bajwa and Minister IPC, if he has the guts and the spine.

Speaking on the occasion PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said She said Shehbaz Sharif saved Rs 1000 billion in these projects. She mocked Imran Khan saying that he was so scared of Shehbaz thay he could not even stomach criticism on the long list of failures over the past 3 years, and sent Shehbaz another NAB notice. Imran must first answer the nation for his apologies rendered to Shehbaz for false allegation of Rs 10 billion  bribery offer.

The former Information Minister pointed out the hypocrisy of accountability where Rs 4.5 million of BRT Rawalpindi were a mega issue while potholes worth Rs 126 billion in Peshawar were invisible. Chairman NAB is blind to Mallam Jabba, Helicopter Case, Sugar, Wheat, Flour, Medicines, Electricity, and LNG scandals. She said in hus petty vengeance Imran had now stooped from accusations of hundreds of billion to accusations over flower pots and plantation worth Rs 4.5 million. She said it was Imran who had polluted with corruption, the clean transparent projects completed by Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
The former Information Minister said the government was shamelessly continuing their political victimisation despite being embarrassed by courts every time they brought their fictitious allegations in front of the judiciary. Whenever the court asks from proof, Imran and his government disappear, she added. She pointed out to the print that Imran was an absconder from justice and had apologised to Shehbaz requesting him to withdraw his case of defamation.

She said the country was burning in the hell of inflation and unemployment while Imran was consumed by his political vengeance. Imran could not give any respite to people in the high priced sugar, wheat, flour, electricity, gas and medicines which was why he starts and ends his days with blatant shameless lies.

After running a media trial against political opponents,  Imran was now working on the draconian Media Authority to gag freedom of press to hide his corruption, she said.
