ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif will legally remain in the UK until the British Immigration Tribunal issues its decision on an extension in his stay.
In a statement Marriyum said the UK’s Home Department had refused to extend Nawaz Sharif’s stay in the country any further. She said the Home Department said that Nawaz Sharif can challenge this decision in the Immigration Tribunal.
She said Nawaz’s lawyers had filed an appeal in this regard with the Immigration Tribunal. She explained that the decision of the Home Department will stay ineffective till the Immigration tribunal reaches a decision.
Answering a question, Marriyum said that this does not in any way amount to a political asylum and was only a request for an extension in stay on medical grounds.
Responding to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry’s statement she said Nawaz would fulfil all legal obligations unlike PTI leaders who always look to work above or around the law. She said unless Nawaz’s treatment is completed and his doctors permit him to travel back to Pakistan, the PMLN Quaid would stay in Britain.
“These rented mouthpieces can whine, moan and complain all they want, but Nawaz would return only when it is medically safe to do so. These hired helps should refrain from politicising Nawaz’s health to save their jobs. But, it is understandable that these vote thieves and product of stolen elections know no way other than politicising the health of their opponents. Stooping down to such petty and shallow tactics is proof that their narrative had been destroyed and buried. Their livelihoods and politics depends on pandering to those in power and government don’t know any better”, she said.
The former Information Minister said these government spokespersons should take a good look in the mirror before threatening and cussing at others. It is time now for these corrupt rulers who had buried tge nation under inflation and unemployment, she added.
She reminded that Nawaz returned home with his daughter despite knowing that all cases were fake and politically motivated.
