ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb says the government’s figure regarding GDP growth rate a blatant deciet and a fraud with the nation.
In a statement Marriyum said the government kept the position of the official Cheif Statistician of the Department of Statistics vacant to fuge the figures as it pleased to lie about economic indicators and deceive the people of Pakistan.
“The statistics which are not accepted by the State Bank Of Pakistan and the Department of finance don’t hold any vakue”, she said.
The former Information Minister said Imran Khan was playing a dangerous game with the economy of Pakistan. Imran needs to understand that that the kaisi economy is not Islamabad Rong Road which he can skew and distort as he wishes, she added.
She said the people of Pakistan can judge the state of the economy very well with the price of chicken, eggs, vegetables, fruit, meat, flour, sugar and cooking oil. The government spews lie after lie, and then tried to convert it all up with more lies, she said.
Marriyum said this fraud of the government will be exposed on 11th June. She said this claim of 3.9 GDP growth is an open fraud with the nation. According to the investment figures of the running fiscal year, the country’s GDP dropped over 15 percent. The National Accounts Committee had confirmed this drop in GDP she said. The government had failed to achieve its GDP target for the third straight year.
She told that the Department of Statistics used wrong population figures to calculate per capita income. The department did not use the data from 2017 census. The total population in 2017 census was 20 carore 76 lackk 80 thousand. After 2.4 percent population growth rate the population in 2021 is 22 crore 83 Lackh 50 thousands. Instead of this figure the government showed the population as 21 crore 10 lackh. Ok
