LAHORE: PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz has congratulated Miftah Ismail on winning the NA 249 Election and has thanked the people of the constituency for their trust in PMLN.
In a statement Shehbaz praised Miftah Ismail for hsi hard work and said the entire country witnessed how Miftah’s victory and votes were snatched away.
Shehbaz said PMLN woild continue to advance with God’s will and spirit of serving the people. He said PMLN would continue to raise its voice for the issues of NA 249. He praised the PMLN office holders and Karachi team for their wonderful work and the resilience with which they fought.
The PMLN President also thanked the leaders, workers, voters and supporters of JUI-F and ANP for their support.
Shehbaz also expressed great grief of the destruction of economy, misery of Pakistanis, skyrocketing inflation and unemployment caused by the PTI government.
Taking to parliamentarians, he said the long queues for 1 kg subsidised sugar were an affront to human integrity and respect of the mothers and daughters of the nation. He said he was at a loss to understand that a government that couldn’t provide basics like sugar and flour to the people, would be able to deal with a global pandemic.
The National Assembly Opposition leaders said he had never seen such chaos during Ramadan in Pakistan. He thanked the Parliamentarians for their good wishes and, support and devoted association. The parliamentarians congratulated him on his release from NAB custody.
PMLN Parliamentarians, including former Prime Minister Shahid Kahqan Abbasi and other from a various parts of the country met the party president.
