LAHORE: PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has demanded a thorough investigation over the revelations made by Former FIA DG Bashir Memon.
In a statement Shehbaz said, Bashir Memon’s revelations had endorsed his longstanding stance. He said he had said a long time back that the NAB-Niazi alliance had been operating to make up fake and baseless cases against PMLN leadership and imprison its leadership.
Shehbaz said the truth of NAB-Niazi alliance and the political victimisation in the name of fake narrative of accountability had been totally exposed. He said the Bashir Memon’s revelations regarding Imran Niazi were extremely shameful, damning, alarming and condemnable. He termed Imran’s acts the hight of fascism and vengeance.
The National Assembly Opposition Leader called for an indepth, unbiased, transparency and thorough investigation into this matter and strict punishment for all those involved. He said this intentional act of creating anarchy, instability and chaos in the country amount to true treason with the country.
The PMLN President said said these revelations have also shown that Imran compromised national interest of 220 million people for your monstrous ego, stubbornness, prejudices and vicious vengeance.
