Talking to media outside NAB Court in Lahore, Marriyum said that all 4 judges not only stamped Shehbaz Sharif’s innocence but also exposed the mal intent behind government’s fictitious cases. She said the court specifically asked NAB if it had any evidence or proof to back its allegations, to prove that Shehbaz had in any way committed corruption in public money. But the government, like all other cases, had nothing to say. They had nothing to say because Shehbaz had served not only people of Punjab but of entire Pakistan religiously with devotion, diligence and transparency day in and day out. Because he had always taken his position as the Chief Minister as a sacred trust of the people of Pakistan, she added. She said Shehbaz guarded the rights of the people of Punjab under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif in ways that nobody can even fathom.
The former Information Minister said this 10th bail in Assets Beyond Means case filed against Shehbaz is a bashing of Shehzad Akbar’s propagandist press conferences at PID while waving around fake documents. This bail, she said is a medal of honor for Shehbaz Sharif and PMLN and is a resounding slap on Imran Khan’s face.
Marriyum said it is extremely important to not that this bail and all others before it were granted purely on merit. The court had trashed all these allegations by NAB Niazi alliance purely on merit.
She said Imran in his obsession to inflict damage to Shehbaz ended up damaging Pakistan at home and abroad. She said Shehbaz had said that if a penny of corruption was proven on him he would leave politics and apologise publicly from the nation. Today Imran should apologise to the nation for incessant lying and misguiding Pakistanis, she demanded.,
Marriyum said it is now Imran’s turn to apologise and present himself and his hoard for accountability. This accountability will not start from Imran, Shehzad Akbar, Khusro Bakhtiar, Usman Buzdar and Jahangir Tareen and soon all these members of corrupt mafia will be in the court of law.
