LAHORE: PMLN Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb says Imran Khan has surrendered the fate of 220 million people ito the IMF by creating an autonomous State Bank and then enslaving it under IMF.
Talking to media outside NAB Court Lahore, Marriyum said the imposed PTI government had got the country into a debt trap with the IMF and is now completely renouncing the country’s sovereignty to the International Monetary Fund. She said the lives of the people of Pakistan will now be controlled by this IMF. The IMF will decide inflation, tariffs, interest rates and everything that defines the everyday life of a hard working Pakistani.
The former Information Minister said those who rejected Shehbaz Sharif’s honest and well intentioned proposals, demeaning them as a plea for NRO, now have the audacity of calling for reforms with a straight face. Those who jailed Shehbaz when he proposed the Charter Of Economy, imprisoned him in death row cells when he called for national political dialogue and consensus, shamelessly expect to be taken seriously.
Marriyum said the looters of nation’s wealth and right to survival go mum whenever they increase the rate of inflation. She said the rented mouthpieces of selected Prime Minister turn spellbound when they seek to enslave the country and its State Bank to the IMF. But then the start crying wolf about opposition’s alleged corruption whenever they want to distract aydin away from their heinous blunders.
But she said no amount of distracting and hoopla could change the fact that this selected regime brought the country’s GDP crashing down from 5.8 to minus -0.4. There is no denting that the jacket inflation rate up from 3 to 16 percent. There is no doubt that the trippled the cost of sugar and flour, increased gas and electricity tariffs by 300 percent. It is irrefutable that robbers of public money in diet, what, flour, electricity, gas, medicine and LNG were exonerated through government made commissions.
She also lashed out at Shehzad Akbar asking where was the proof against Shehbaz Sharif that he used to wave around. She did the days of Imran Khan’s commission agent were over. This government had done everything in its power but failed to prove a penny of corruption on Shehbaz, she said. But when am wise failed they had now started exploiting him over his health. She pointed out that the government’s boss of doctors still hadn’t given Shehbaz the results of his medical tests which can jeopardise his health and maybe even life. She said this is why Nawaz Sharif’s health deteriorated. She demanded that Shehbaz reports be shared with immediately and he must be grabbed his constitutional rights in custody.
