PTI Has Made Pakistan A Global Doormat – Ahsan
ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal says the staggered growth of under under PTI government has weakened Pakistan against its arch enemy India.
At a press conference in Islamabad, Ahsan said the Pakistan now is the slowest growing economy in South Asia according to IMF. Even Afghanistan is growing at a faster pace than Pakistan. He told that Pakistan’s economy is projected to grow at 1 percent while India’s at 9 percent. This he said had disturbed the balance and parity. Pakistan needs to grow at at least 2 percent more than India to sustain its Security and defence budget at parity, he told.
He slammed the government for defiling countries pilots falsely to a point where the UN has banned its officials from flying with any Pakistani pilot. He said PTI’s incompetence, incapacity has made Pakistan a global doormat where everyone walks all over it whenever they feel like.
Ahsan said this government halved the development budget which has incapacitated the work on ML1 CPEC. Moreover, with 6 months of the fiscal year gone, PTI had only spent less than 30 percent of the already halved development budget. He pointed out that the country is headed for a dead end while the PTI government boast of improving economic indicators.
The PMLN Secretary General said this government has introduced a new form of government which is called the “Thank God Government”. Under the Thank God Government, everyone is told the thank God as it could have been even worse than already is getting.
“Thank God! India only took Occupied Kashmir, it could have also taken Azad Jammu and Kashmir too. Sugar is now Rs 86,it could have been 120. Forget about 5 million new homes, Thank God people’s existing homes are safe. Thank God only 2 million people have lost their jobs it could have been 10 million. Thank God electricity tariff was raised only by Rs 2 it could have been Rs 5. Thank God patrol prices are up only Rs 2 they could have been Rs 11 more expensive”, said.
Ahsan said the imposers and backers of this government need to seriously introspect. They need to asked what wrong this this country and its people ever do to them that they have imposed such a disastrously incompetent, inept, unqualified and corrupt person and party who were destroying and tearing down Pakistan and Pakistanis with their blunders.
