PMLN Central Working Committee Meeting

PMLN Central Working Committee Meeting

The meeting of Central Working Committee condemned the bone crushing inflation. It observed that the impoverished people of Pakistan are already crushed under unemployment and high tariffs and are forced to by flour at Rs 75 per kg and Sugar at Rs 100 per kg. In 2 and half years this government set a record of a total 760 percent increase in the cost of medicines. This amounts to economic terrorism against the people which must be withdrawn and the people may be provided relief.

It said the mandate of the people was robbed in 2018 and a selected government was imposed which had failed the country at every front. To hide this historic failure the government had launched an attack on the constitution, federation, judiciary, media and civil liberties. The parliament has been turned into a rubber stamp while national institutions are being used as an instrument of political victimisation to corner the opposition. This has jeopardised the internal and external and interests of Pakistan, coherence between federation and federating units, national development and public welfare. This can lead to dangerous consequences for the country which is why it needs to be addressed.

The meeting said the intentional destruction of nation economy, industry, trade, agriculture and National power is an organised conspiracy against the country and its sovereignty. Suspicious people have been given key powers who are busy sowing the seeds of anarchy.

The meeting completely endorsed the communique and action plan by the APC held on 20 September 2020. It decided to act with all resources and power to implement the strategy devised by the APC. PMLN expressed readiness to play a historic role for constitution, democracy, federal parliamentary system, independence of the judiciary and civil rights. It also endorsed the decisions made by the lawyers and bar councils APC on 17th September.

The meeting deemed PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif’s speeches as a representation and reflection of public sentiment and aspirations and National interests and endorsed it in letter and spirit. Nawaz has emerged as a true soldier of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s ideals and has laid bare all that has been done contrary to the founder of the nation’s vision for Pakistan and its constitutional sanctity. It gave Nawaz the power to take decisions that would lead to revival of the constitution, independence of judiciary and, democracy and parliamentary federal system of government.

The meeting stressed that Nawaz should only return after completing his treatment and the consent of his doctors. It stressed that Nawaz is a national asset and a leader of the nation and his life cannot be at any cost or pressures be jeopardised.

The meeting condemned the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif. It termed the decision against him contrary to Supreme Court decisions and said Shehbaz has been published for standing by Nawaz Sharif. Shehbaz had already spent 70 days in NAB, custody and jail but there was not a single accusation of corruption which proves he is not guilty. It is a dark chapter in the history of the country. The Speaker National Assembly’s meaningful silence is a proof that he has failed to fulfil his constitutional, parliamentary and democratic responsibilities. This also endorses Nawaz’s stance that Parliament is being controlled someone other than the parliamentarians.

The meeting paid rich tribute to the valour and high spirits of Shehbaz Sharif. It lauded the exemplary development and service done by him during his tenure as CM and the billions saved in hundreds of billions worth of projects built in record time by Shehbaz. It said Shehbaz is also playing his role and rendering great sacrifices as the National Assembly Opposition Leader.

The meeting also strongly condemned the arrest warrants for Shehbaz Sharif’s wife and daughter. It termed these shamelessly actions of the government a reflection of its shallow-mindedness. This shows the standard of selection for a Naya Pakistan.

The meeting paid tribute to Hamza Shehbaz, Khurshid Shah and other political prisoners who are fighting for the supremacy of democracy and sacrificing their freedom and part of life for this mission. It expressed solidarity with the families, relatives, loved ones, voters and supporters of all politicians arrested due to political victimisation. By not sending Hamza to hospital, the selected puppet government showed to what extent it can stoop.

It condemned the foreign policy failures at every level by the government that among other costs led to the fall of Kashmir. India’s illegal annexation, brutality and atrocious oppression of Occupied Kashmir, paid tribute to the brave Kashmiris and expressed solidarity with them.

PMLN condemned India’s continuous ceasefire violations across the LOC, and its jingoistic actions, the treatment of Muslims in India. It paid rich tribute to those martyred by unprovoked Indian aggression on the LoC and extended condolences to their families. And wished fast recovery to those wounded. It called for international border control observers to submit a report of these violations to the UN Security Council.

The meeting demanded that General Asim Saleem Bajwa’s and his children’s proven questionable assets must be investigated during which he should resign from all offices. The meeting stressed that there cannot be 2 standards of justice in the country.

It also called for expediting the proceedings of Imran Khan’s illegal foreign funding and 23 illegal bank accounts case which has intentionally been kept on the back burners for the past 6 years.

The meeting expressed grave concern over the rapidly worsening state of law and order in the country. It condemned the fact that the culprit of the motorway rape case is still at large while the incompetent CCPO continues to blame the victim.
