Shehbaz Pays Rich Tribute To Begum Kulsum Nawaz On Death Anniversary
PLMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to Begum Kulsum Nawaz on her death anniversary.
Shehbaz said Begum Kulsum played historic role of a loving mother, amazing sister, obedient daughter and a compassionate wife.
He said she proved to be a brave and unrelenting political voice and a painful challenge to the dictatorial forces. She earned a distinctive place in the history of the country through her courage, valour, acumen and knowledge.
Shehbaz said Begum Kulsum Nawaz, who stayed away from politics, came to the forefront at the most difficult times when the nation needed her leadership the most and fought fearlessly.
He said his great sister died when her husband Nawaz Sharif and daughter Marriyum were forced into unlawful and unjust imprisonment. He said Begum Kulsum Nawaz earned global respect through her character and actions. He said her love for the holy Quran, literature and poetry remained a part of her personality.
Shehbaz said it is impossible to forget that the callous, shallow-minded and petty political rivals politicized the life-threatening ailment of a great, pious, patient and content sister. He prayed that God Almighty grant her the highest order in heaven and strength to her family members to make peace with this loss.
