Imran Should Have Apologise For Demonising PMLN’s Metros While Shamelessly Inaugurating Disaster Peshawar BRT – Marriyum
PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb says Imran Khan should have apologised to Shehbaz Sharif before inaugurating Rs 126 billion worth of potholes.
In her response to Imran Khan’s Peshawar Metro inauguration speech, Marriyum said, the Supreme Court had clearly ruled that no government project could carry party flag colours or could be branded in any way with party affiliated identities. But Imran Khan committed contempt of court by blatantly branding a government money project with PTI flag colours while shamelessly inaugurating an incomplete Peshawar BRT. She pleaded to the Supreme Court to take notice of this contempt
The former Information Minister said Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif built metros 7 years before Imran, and completed them to facilitate the masses, instead of inaugurating an incomplete project with glaring flaws shamelessly. She said Shehbaz built 4 metros in 4 cities, in record time, with record savings for the country.
Marriyum slammed PTI’s hypocrisy by saying that the Imran criticised Lahore Metro but is praising a incomplete disaster Peshawar Metro which was made most expensively. She said why does it bother Imran if the people of Punjab get a good standard, affordable and dignified public transport. She said Imran today inaugurated the project he lambasted from the top of the container.
She said Imran should be ashamed today for criticising and demonising Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif’s transport projects. Imran should be ashamed today of the fact that he built an incomplete metro with the same money Nawaz and Shehbaz built 4 complete and functioning Rapid Bus Transit systems.
