Shehbaz Condemns PMLN Political Workers Being Treated Like Terrorists
PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the handcuffing of detained party workers and leaders.
In a statement Shehbaz said, the act of treating political workers like terrorists and dangerous criminals is extremely disappointing and condemnable. He said assaulting and torturing political workers and then shackling them with handcuffs shows the fascist mentality of this government.
The PMLN President said the current government has sadly turned politics into a revenge drive. He pledged that he will not rest until every single one of the PMLN workers and leaders have been freed.
Shehbaz paid rich tribute to the PMLN workers and said he is proud of their resilience, conviction and high spirits. He said PMLN’s enthusiasm has petrified the enemy of the people government. He said the lawyers are working for their freedom and they will soon be released from these fascist shackles.
