Shehbaz Demands Apology Over Irresponsible Remarks About KSA By PTI Govt
PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has said that the irresponsible statement regarding Pakistan’s brotherly country Saudi Arabia by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is highly condemnable and against Pakistan’s national interest.
In a statement Shehbaz said, an apology should be rendered to Saudi Arabia and all issues should be settled in a mature, appropriate and effective manner. He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share historic and strategic relations. Saudi Arabia has always come to Pakistan’s help in difficult circumstances including the time when Pakistan conducted its nuclear tests.
He said such irresponsible statements by the Foreign Minister about a brotherly country are a fatal and worst diplomacy and the entire nation is concerned and disturbed over the way this PTI government is conducting its relations with Saudi Arabia. This behaviour is counterproductive to Islamic Unity, National Unity and core national interest. The immature government is toying with Pakistan’s core interests. He said the PTI government’s actions are isolating Pakistan on the world diplomatic stage.
He said this PTI government is either intentionally or due to its incompetence and ignorance, damaging Pakistan on the diplomatic front. He said Pakistan has always been a staunch advocate of Muslim unity and the PTI government has also in the past made similar blunders regarding friendly states.
