Ahsan Questions PTI Govts Inaction Over IoK’s Illegal Annexation, Brutal Siege
PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal while condemning Indian annexation and brutality siege of Occupied Kashmir for the past one year has asked the PTI government questions regarding its actions after this violation of UN resolutions by New Delhi.
Ahsan said one year has passed since the illegal integration of India into Kashmir, how much was the implementation of the recommendations of the all-party consultation held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last year. He asked why did the only Islamic nuclear power become so disrespectful that it could not even convene an Islamic summit on Kashmir?
The former Interior Minister inquired how many countries did the Prime Minister / Foreign Minister / Chairman Kashmir Committee / Minister for Kashmir Affairs visit on Kashmir’s One Point Agenda last year. Ahsan went on to say how many delegations did the government send to Kashmir for diplomacy in the member countries of the Security Council?
The PMLN Secretary General questioned why did the government fail to raise the issue in the UN Commission on Human Rights to highlight Indian atrocities in Kashmir? Talking about the uncontested election to the Security Council of India, Ahsan said why did the government not raise the question of how a country that violates the resolution of the Security Council can become a member?
“Throughout the year, the government did nothing but make speeches to raise the Indian lockdown and information blackout in Kashmir. Why didn’t the Prime Minister join hands with the national leadership throughout the year to convey the message of being on one page of the nation on Kashmir?”, he said.
