PTI Govt Fuming Over Being Caught Sneaking In Draconian Opp Persecution Law In The Name Of FATF – Ahsan

PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal says the party will take PTI government’s proposed draconian law of abducting civilians for 6 months to the international community and inquire if they laid down any such requirement for the FATF.
In a press conference at PMLN Lahore Secretariat, Ahsan said the government is fuming over the fact that the opposition caught it trying to sneak in the worst possible tyrannical law in the name of Financial Action Task Force. He said the PTI proposed a law under which any businessman, trader, journalist or opposition member could be abducted and detained at any location without any legal, constitutional or judicial protection for the incumbent.

He said PTI forges every legislation with an intent to sabotage, persecution and victimise Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and all of its political rivals, which is why it pursues such laws that are even worse than those being used by India in the occupied Kashmir to subjugate, persecute and oppress the people.

Ahsan said the government Bill of Mutual Legal Assistance in the pipeline is also designed for the same purpose to target political opponents. But what the government did not realise is that this law can be used against the martial interest and any country of the world can demand access to even our atomic energy scientists. He demanded that this Mutual Legal Assistance Bill should be vetted by Pakistan Bar Council and other relevant legal bodies so that the people of Pakistan are not robbed off their constitutional rights.

Talking of NAB he said the government says it wants to abolish NAB but the truth is contradictory to these claims. He said the PMLN stance over NAB has been endorsed by the Supreme Court that it is lopsided law which is mostly used for political victimization and one sided accountability. Ahsan demanded that NAB be amended in the light of Supreme Court’s observations and u derived the guidance of Islamic Ideological Council.

He said after the court decision exoneration those harrassed and imprisoned by NAB. Who will return the months and years wasted in NAB abduction, he questioned. Who will answer for the excruciating psychological torment and mud Slinging on their dignity, he asked.
Ahsan appealed to the Supreme Court to take so moto action over the baseless allegation of Rs 5 billion kickback on Multan Sukkur motorway by him. He expressed disappointment over the fact that the parliament did not come to the defence of his dignity, which was his constitutional right. Therefore he said the CJP should ensure his constitutional right to dignity by exposing the lies and mud Slinging.

He said the government needlessly approved a special Ordinance for Kalbhushan Jadhav when Pakistan’s layer maintained in the ICJ that there were precedents of military court decisions being challenged in civilian courts. He said the toothless, spineless, coward Imran governments failure to respond to India’s illegal annexation of Occupied Kashmir has brought shame and embarrassment to the nation.

He said Pakistan was on track to become 9ne of the world’s top 25 economies by year 2025 but the way Imran Khan has brought this country down, he will be tried in the courts of justice by the opposition for the damage he did to the economy, image and future.
