Shehbaz Declares Load-shedding Despite Ample Capacity, Incompetence, Failure of PTI Govt
LAHORE: PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif while condemning the electricity outages across the country including Karachi, has said that the shortage of electricity in Karachi and a tariff hike on top of that is a double cruelty.
In a statement, Shehbaz said despite ample capacity, the increasing complaints of electricity load-shedding across the country are nothing but the product of incompetence and mismanagement by the PTI government. He said the shortage 9f electricity despite the provision of extra gas and fuel oil, is a result of this government’s inability to run state affairs.
Shehbaz said the people are baffled by the load-shedding coupled with a brutal bike on electricity tariffs. The people are paying these mammoth bills, crushed under the pandemic, it’s ecomic fallout, the government’s economic blunders, unemployment and inflation, he said. He asks this government is testing the patience of this nation in the worst way imaginable.
The National Assembly Opposition Leader said with all this going on, the added increase in prices of everyday essential commodities due to the government’s bid in fuel prices is another unbearable load on the people. This tyrannical government has brought the most cruel ‘Tabdeeli’ with the most most brutal oppression in Pakistan, he said.
Shehbaz said under its Quaid Nawaz Sharif, the PMLN government did the country of the menace of load shedding, but thus incompetent PTI government cannot even manage the installed capacity of electricity, let alone build more.
