Marriyum Slams Channel 24 Ban, Dubs PTI Govt Fascist
ISLAMABAD: PMLN Secretary lnformation Marriyum Aurangzeb while Condemning and slamming the ban on news Channel 24 without hearing their stance, has said that this is an act of tyranny, injustice and fascism.
In a statement, Marriyum said Imran Khan is chopping the wheels off the vehicle that brought him into power. After crippling the news media financially, the Imran regime is rendering thousands of journalists jobless who are already hit hard by the new coronavirus, she said.
“Imran is targeting the news channels, journalists and owners of media houses that refuse to bow down to his wishes and dare to tell the truth about this atrocious government. There is no uniform application of the law across the board and these actions reek of partisanship and prejudice “, she said.
The former Information Minister said the Imran-led government has a problem with every institution that criticises it for its blunders. Because PTI are incapacitated to stop destroying the country and do anything constructive they are left with no choice but to use state machinery to silence these voices by gagging them and shutting them down, Marriyum said.
The PMLN Secretary lnformation said fascist mindset and actions are ruling the Naya Pakistan. She said this ban on channel 24, arrest and jailing of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman and curbs on anchors and programmes prove this is not a democratic government.
