Joint Opposition Welcomes Justice Eesa’s Exoneration, Demand Resignation of PM, President
The Joint Opposition while welcoming the dismissal of Presidential Reference against Justice Qazi Fayiz Eesa by the Supreme Court, has said that the people of Pakistan demand the Prime Minister and the President to resign over filing such an unlawful, unconstitutional, false reference based on pure malintent.
In a statement the, PMLN, PPP, Awami National Party, JUI-F, JI, Qaumi Watan Party, National Party (Hasil Khan Bazinjo) said the truth about the Asset Recovery Unit has been exposed and such instruments of political victimisation and vengeance driven agenda must be shut down at once.
They said the government tried armtwisting of the Supreme Judiciary of the country by knowingly filing a false, misleading and defaming reference based on their malintent.
They congratulated the judiciary over this great victory by upholding the law, constitution and its supremacy. They also congratulated the lawyers and bar councils all across the country and paid rich tribute for rejecting and defeating such fascist mindset. They said the lawyer fraternity once again played a exemplary role at a crucial moment in the history of the country.
They said this episode has exposed Imran Khan’s mindset. This they said has added another smudge on the inexhaustible list of government blunders.
