Imran’s Obsession With Political Victimisation Compromised Lives of Thousands Of Pakiatanis Battling Pandemic – Hamza
PMLN Central Leader and Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz says the core problem plaguing Pakistan in these times of multiple crisis are the economic uncertainty and public distrust in the current ruling administration.
Speaking at the Punjab Assemblyvs Budget Session, Hamza said the national economy and people’s livelihoods had already been destroyed even before the new coronavirus outbreak. He said as a Pakistani and the Opposition Leader of the most populated province, he was going through the most unsettling feelings of his life because of the heart wrenching state of the country and its people.
He pointed out that it had been weeks since the airliner crash yet the debris of the aircraft is still lying over people’s houses. The locust infestation has wreaked havoc in the country while the government continues to do anything substantial to tackle this problem that threatens the country’s food security. He demanded a Parliamentary Monitoring Committee to monitor the situation from locust infestation. The Committee should also monitor the steps taken to support farmers and compensation for their losses.
Hamza prayed that the government gives up its single track agenda is political victimisation and start working on the massive challenges faced by the country. He said PMLN is all for accountability but their are limits to political victimisation in the name of accountability.
“This government has compromised the lives of the entire nation in their maddening obsession with political vengeance, persecution and victimisation. According to experts 12 million Pakistanis have lost their jobs under the government who promised ten million jobs. The container phony and his inability and incompetence has been badly exposed “, Hamza said.
Hamza reminded that if had been over a year past the Sahiwal tragedy but no one has so far been punished. The PTI which advocated against privatisation of the Steel Mill is now selling it off and making thousands unemployed in the midst of a raging pandemic. Over six thousand people are held infected by coronavirus everyday and Imran Niazi’s Wasim Akram plus contributes by taking a helicopter ride over the city to get a measure of coronavirus.
The country soaring at 5.8 GDP is devastated at minus 0.3 GDP under the PTI regime that criticised PMLN. This is what is called the Revenge of Nature itself and unmistakable irony, he said.
