Govt Set To Devastate Nation With Rs 400 bn Slash In PSDP – Ahsan
PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal says the PTI government is set to slash Rs 600 billion from the development budget as compared to development budget presented by the PMLN government.
Talking to media in Narowal, Ahsan said how will the country’s industry function when the development budget is cut down to Rs 1,400 billion from Rs 2,000 billion.
He said PMLN will oppose this measure with all its strength and force in the parliament and will not allow this government to devastate the nation’s future. He said due to the incompetence and cluelessness of this regime, the future of millions of youth and the nation in general is being dumped down a bottomless pit.
Ahsan said it is a matter of great pride for PMLN that it gave record high development and defence budgets to Pakistan. He said it is the Pakistani youth have a constitutional right to standard education. He stressed that there is a need to strengthen the healthcare system or the country to deal with the reigning and future pandemics because that’s essential for the world we live in now. He said there is an imperative need to build Industrial Zones, enhance agricultural yield through research and development, to bring in state-of-the-art tech.
The former Minister Planning said the Sugar Inquiry Commission was not about subsidy. It was to figure out how and why sugar prices hiked up to Rs 90 from Rs 52. Imran Niazi must tell the nation, the names of the robbers he facilitated. Who were these people who looted Rs 300 billion from people on Imran Khan and Usman Buzdar’s behest, he asked. Ahsan pointed out that the person who filled his deep pockets and that of his accomplices through illegal import of medicine from India, has peen appointed by Imran Niazi as the Party’s Secretary General.
“Imran Khan is the biggest avenue of patronage of the corrupt in Pakistan but neither NAB nor any investigation and accountability institution can question his massive corruption laden actions. If PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif can present himself for accountability while he was the Prime Minister, why can’t Imran Niazi do the same” he questioned.
The PMLN Secretary General strongly condemned the fuel shortages and said it is now beyond any doubt that this PTI administration m cannot run any sector of the government. From delayed, impotent and disastrous actions over covid-19, locust swarm attack, the latest mega blunder leading to crisis is the shortage of patrol and diesel in the country, he lambasted. Businessmen, industrialists, farmers are wall worried sick running from pillar to post in search of patrol. The people of Pakistan are suffering because of the incompetence, cluelessness, mismanagement and corruption of this PTI government, he said.
He said coronavirus deaths are surging in Pakistan because Imran did not take the advice of the doctors seriously and drove the country straight into the Jaws of the pandemic. Now, Pakistan is worse of than Italy which was considered the worst-hit country by covid-19 in the entire world.
