People to bury looters’ politics in elections: Shahbaz

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the Zardari government is behind torturous loadshedding, price hike, poverty and unemployment.

Addressing office-bearers and workers of the PML-N from Gujrat district, he said those who pushed the nation into darkness during Sehr, Iftari and Tarveeh in the sacred month of Ramazan, should stop dreaming of ruling the country in future. He said that people would bury the politics of corruption and plundering of the incapable rulers forever in general elections.

The chief minister said that all problems were created by the Zardari gang and if the country got rid of it, all its problems would be solved. He said that a new Pakistan, free from corruption, will be built under the leadership of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, where there will be supremacy of law, constitution and justice and every one would have equal opportunities.

Announcing various development schemes for Gujrat, the chief minister said that more than six billion rupees have been spent on development projects in the district during the last four and a half years.

He also announced upgradation of Government Higher Secondary School Tanda to a degree college, construction of a cricket ground in Jalalpur Jattan and construction and repair of roads in other areas.

Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a fire in Garhi Shahu. He has constituted a special committee to submit its report on the incident within 24 hours.
